Adventure of Hanacaraka

What is Adventure of Hanacaraka (AOH) ?
Basically, AOH is a 2D top down adventure game with cultural
nuances that allows you to control 2 characters to help each other solve
puzzles, riddles, killing monsters, and to find hidden tools that can be used
to finish a stage.

How is the story of AOH ?
Once upon a time, there was a family which lived in Situbondo
Village, East Java, Indonesia. The family has a thick Javanese cultural life.
And one day, the original Javanese alphabet (Hanacaraka) from Javanese
book went missing and was hidden by an irresponsible person.
So, the family decided to find the Javanese alphabets on their land
and bring them back. They dedicated their lives to finding the hidden
Javanese alphabets. Their names are Sumiati and Sutomo.
(After collecting the last Hanacaraka, you will receive the ending of
the game.)

Is the story of AOH based on a true story ?
No, the story of AOH is a fiction made by our team. The purpose is
to make the game even more interesting with a story on it.

What are the cultural elements used in this game ?
There are many of them, from the title itself, you can see if we used
Hanacaraka drawing style for it, and from the graphic assets we created,
such as Javanese Tradition House, Joglo, and other buildings that you can
find in the game. And from music tracks, we used Javanese instruments
such as Gamelan to present the Javanese culture. And the last is from the
mechanism of the game, that you need to collect all of the missing
Hanacaraka to finish the game.

What is the purpose of the game ?
We hope that we can bring the Javanese culture back to our daily
life, and to educate people and especially ourselves about Hanacaraka
and the deep meaning of it in a fun way.
